Autumn Jade Vase

This piece can be used as a vase or a cup.

Each piece is handmade by me and was thrown on my potter's wheel. Made from stoneware clay it is strong and durable. When the piece is leather dry it is fettled and trimmed. Once bone dry it is bisque fired. The piece was then glazed with a charcoal-green glaze which I made myself from scratch. It is then high fired to 1260 degrees centigrade for 24 hours in my kiln.
